It is not easy to combine electronics or electromagnetic waves with medicine. Both are so vast and are in different fields of specialization that, when necessary, a specialist working in the world of health and well-being, such as a doctor, naturopath, physiotherapist, etc. (or a specialist in bioengineering) is limited with superficial knowledge, which is the minimum that is necessary to work in the best way. It is also difficult to try and explain to those who are not experts in these areas, that electromagnetic waves can be of great help in the treatment of many diseases and yet the fields of application are numerous. So, how many people actually know about the use of electromagnetic waves for medical treatments? In this book I have tried to explain, as simply as I could, all the main methods by which electromagnetic fields can be used for treatmentments or simply for the improvement of health and well-being. Making a simple list would not have been enough. So I researched for references to scientific articles, ancient and more recent ones, in practice, all useful materials to support even what, in some cases, may be considered by some, inconvenient or simply unscientific. I have taken all these therapies into consideration and for each of them, I have identified and explained the biological effects and the main therapeutic indications currently used in the different nations of the world. I believe this is useful information for everyone, both the scientists and those who are simply just interested in learning something more about the use of electromagnetic waves. I trust you will be amazed at reading these interesting notions, methodologies and discoveries, many of which I am sure you did not imagine existed.

Diagnosing and then treating, curing and restoring a state of well-being is possible thanks to electromagnetic waves. Contrary to what one might think, they are topics of such wide application that already at the time when the author published the book "The therapeutic properties of electromagnetic waves", he already knew that many topics of great scientific interest had been excluded. The book, which includes the one just mentioned, comprise in addition to the main and well-known technologies used for care and well-being, also those recently studied and applied. There are many pages dedicated to biological effects on human cells and tissues, the energy properties of water, harmful effects, to end with one of the most difficult topics to deal with: cancer. What the world of research has discovered and experienced over decades is hardly known to anyone, even to the experts in the medical field. In the last chapter, the author has collected the most interesting studies carried out worldwide, mainly on technologies that in many cases have evolved into recognized and approved applications for the treatment and ablation of cancer.Embracing and explaining, in the simplest possible way, such a wide range of applications with electromagnetic waves is not easy, considering that the topics covered include notions of physics as well as of medicine and biology. The text is useful to inform both professionals and those interested in knowing more about concepts , about methodologies and discoveries whose existence is often ignored. The medical world is becoming aware of the effectiveness of the technologies that apply electromagnetic waves both in the diagnostic and curative fields and, as a consequence, the old methodologies are gradually set aside. These innovative technologies are the future of medicine and having ever more precise knowledge of how cells and tissues generate, transmit, receive and react to electromagnetic waves can lead to the formulation of solutions more and

Authored by two leading researchers in the athletic training field, the Second Edition of Therapeutic Modalities: The Art and Science provides the knowledge needed to evaluate and select the most appropriate modalities to treat injuries. The authors use an informal, student-friendly writing style to hold students' interest and help them grasp difficult concepts. The unique approach of the text teaches aspiring clinicians both the how and the why of therapeutic modality use, training them to be decision-making professionals rather than simply technicians. The Second Edition is revised and expanded to include the latest research in therapeutic modalities. New material has been added on evidence-based practice, and other areas, such as pain treatment, are significantly expanded. It retains the successful format of providing the necessary background information on the modalities, followed by the authors' "5-Step Application Procedure." New photos, illustrations, and case studies have also been added.
